Points in a university exam are typically awarded based on the student's performance on different sections or questions of the exam. In some cases, partial credit may be awarded for partially correct answers. The total points earned by a student are then used to calculate their final grade for the exam. **

Grades are awarded based on a combination of factors such as performance on assignments, exams, class participation, and overall understanding of the material. This system is used to evaluate a student's level of comprehension and mastery of the subject matter. Grades provide a standardized way to measure and compare students' academic achievements, helping educators and institutions assess students' progress and determine their readiness to advance to the next level of education. Ultimately, grades serve as a tool to motivate students to strive for excellence and provide feedback on their strengths and areas for improvement. **

While a degree is more comprehensive and requires a longer period of study, a certificate can be obtained in a shorter amount of time and may be more specialized. Certificates are often used to enhance one's resume or demonstrate proficiency in a particular field to potential employers. **
